Here are some more night shots. This time in the pouring rain; suffice to say, my camera was soaked.

I think the title should explain it.

I’ve probably broken a “rule of thirds” position here and there, but I am too tired to care at this point…ah well.
I never really thought about taking photos of clouds before. The one time I did try, the photo was extremely bland and pointless. However, now I have begun to have a rather different view about clouds. They can be quite…interesting if one took the time to check them out.
They sky almost seems like it’s on fire in the last number of photos. I would quite like to see a sky as if it is truly on fire. From a purely photographic point of view that is.

Well heck, it’s been a long time since I posted anything on this blog. It’s not that I haven’t been taking any photos, but more that I’ve been keeping up multiple blogs. Whether or not there was anybody who actually really bothered to check back on this blog is…another thing. If anybody had been expecting photos and none have showed up, I apologize for that. I’m hoping that maybe I can keep this blog up and running again. I’m still not too sure at this point whether having multiple blogs or one blog with everything is better. Regardless, time for some photos!
It had been a long time since I had gone on any photo walk before, so these shots are more or less from two of those. =)

Maybe it’s me being lazy or me being too busy, I’m not too sure which, but it’s rather obvious I haven’t been updating this to much recently…
In any case, it’s the Winter Olympic games here in Vancouver (though that should include Richmond and Whistler as well). Olympics 2010! Sorta. I don’t want to seem like a downer, but I can’t seem to find the excitment in the games when I am in downtown Vancouver. Though, when I am watching the games I get quite pumped and excited (I’ve never been so excited about hockey in my life before). Odd? Possibly. Why? Maybe it’s because I’ve decided not to wear corrective lenses for a while…being kinda blind might be a reason, who knows? In any case, here is a photo of the Olympic torch thinger
Proud to be a Canadian nevertheless.

This is something I probably should have posted up long ago. It was the first snow day here in Vancouver (sadly it didn’t really stick). We had a pretty non-white Christmas which was VERY disappointing. A lot of people seem to feel that it didn’t feel like Christmas. I agree.

Back again, and hopefully I shall try and keep it consistent again. I’ve noticed that the number of visits to this blog have trickled down to less than 20 per day (on average) and that’s not wonder considering my lack of updates. Anywho, I’m going to make somewhat of a huge post again. I thought I’d try my hand at “Street Photography” on my University campus. The atmosphere has been pretty friendly so far so I figured I wouldn’t run into too much trouble doing this. I’m hoping to capture the atmosphere of a daily student life on the UBC campus. Having said that, I shall limit myself to the amount of words I use when putting these photos up. These shots were from a sunny day and I think I shall go backwards through time. I shall put up photos of a rainy day tomorrow. Some of these photos will consistently involve the campus bus loop. UBC is made up of many commuter students; thus the “need” to concentrate on that. Last three images have been put through Lightroom, but the previous ones have not. Enjoy!

So it’s been a long time since I’ve actually updated this blog. Reasons being? I got caught up in my portraits project and I actually put my thoughts and feelings (and photos sometimes) on another blog. It’s quite liberating. I feel that I should get back to this one again. So to compensate for the lack of previous posts, here’s one REALLY big one. I think the photo of the turn signal really means something because I’ve essentially diverted. But now I’m coming back.

Ok well this isn’t really from THAT long ago, so maybe the phrase doesn’t work here, but I was going through some photos I took in September and I found these. The photos make me really miss waking up early in the morning because in life everything looks best during two moments: sun rise, and sun set. It’s a love hate relationship at times. I hate waking up early, but at the same time I adore that early morning feeling. Anywho, here are the shots (none are photoshopped, don’t you just love the lens flare?):
